Batter Up with Keith Schmidt! Despite never making it to AA, Keith's dedication and love for the game shone through. Drafted by the Orioles in the second round in 1989, his journey took him through Bluefield, Wausau, Kane County, and beyond. Dive deeper into Keith's incredible baseball journey! In 1991, he made history with the Kane County Cougars, hitting the team's first-ever home run in their move from Wausau, Wisc., to Geneva, Ill. Launching a two-run shot in the sixth inning against South Bend, Keith's impact was felt early on.

In his third pro season, Keith not only hit the club's first home run but also smacked two homers in a single game!
